ANTARA WINS ISO 9001:2000 CERTIFICATE
Jakarta, Dec 15 (ANTARA) - Indonesia’s national news agency ANTARA has won an ISO 9001:2000 certificate from the World Quality Assurance (WQA).
The certificate was presented to ANTARA President Director Ahmad Mukhlis Yusuf at a ceremony to mark the agency’s 71st anniversary at the Antara Building here on Monday.
Mukhlis Yusuf said ANTARA had sought to qualify for the ISO certificate as part of its commitment to an overall transformation of its management, especially in an effort to strengthen the process of news quality management as a reliable news agency for its business partners.
According to Mukhlis, the implementation of ISO 9001:2000 was one of the programs in the consolidation of its quality management system which was being developed since ANTARA became a state-owned company in accordance with Government Regulation No.40/2007.
“ANTARA will continue to go ahead with management transformation toward a world-class news agency as a strategic response to information globalization development, information technology changes, and even tighter media competition,” he said. Read more
